Chicken Tomatillo Tamale Soup




  • 1/2 dozen of Chicken Tomatillo Tamales
  • 2 Cans of Creamof Poblano
  • 1 Cup of Whole Milk
  • 1 Can of Rotel
  • 1 tbsp. of diced jalapenos
  • 1 tbsp. of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. of garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp. of garlic pepper
  • 1 tbsp. of onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. of fajita seasoning


  1. In a medium stock pot add the 2 cans of Cream of Poblano
  2. Use one of the empty cans and fill it with whole milk and seasonings. Mix and add to
    the pot.
  3. Add the can of rotel with the juice drained, and stir.Let the soup come to a simmer.
  4. While the soup is coming to a simmer~ microwave the 1/2 dozen of tamales for 3 minutes.
  5. Once the tamales are heated, shred them and add to the soup.
  6. When the soup reaches a simmer turn it to low and cover till ready to serve.
